Youth Action Board for

Transitional-Age Youth(TAY)

Experiencing Homelessness (YAB)

Program Purpose:

The YAB's primary purpose is to integrate TAY, with lived experience being unhoused, into leadership positions and advocacy spaces within Marin’s Continuum of Care/homeless systems.

  • By doing so, we center the voices of persons with lived experience in Marin's homelessness system.

  • YAB members meet monthly for community building exercises, skill building workshops, personal/leadership development and guest speakers.

  • YAB members also participate in quarterly meetings with the County's homeless policy steering committee, sit on panels to make funding decisions, and more.

  • Generous stipends for YAB members’ participation are provided. Healthy catered meals, as well as translation, transportation, childcare, and/or other assistance to participate in the YAB meetings is also provided.
