Youth Action Board for
Transitional-Age Youth(TAY)
Experiencing Homelessness (YAB)
Program Purpose:
The YAB's primary purpose is to integrate TAY, with lived experience being unhoused, into leadership positions and advocacy spaces within Marin’s Continuum of Care/homeless systems.
By doing so, we center the voices of persons with lived experience in Marin's homelessness system.
YAB members meet monthly for community building exercises, skill building workshops, personal/leadership development and guest speakers.
YAB members also participate in quarterly meetings with the County's homeless policy steering committee, sit on panels to make funding decisions, and more.
Generous stipends for YAB members’ participation are provided. Healthy catered meals, as well as translation, transportation, childcare, and/or other assistance to participate in the YAB meetings is also provided.
